The San Marcos Rattlers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Victoria West 91-59 on the road. The win was familiar territory for San Marcos who now have five in a row.
Leading San Marcos to victory were Donavan Riddick and Josiah Hollmon. Riddick dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Hollmon dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Hollmon's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zyair Jolivette, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
San Marcos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Victoria West, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
San Marcos will be home for the holidays to greet Smithson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Victoria West will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brenham at 7:00 p.m. on December 27th.
