Baseball Recap: Richmond Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Richmond won the last time they faced Telstar and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bobcats walked away with a 6-1 win over the Rebels. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.

Brady Alexander spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Zander Steele was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenny Mecham, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Richmond was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Telstar only posted a batting average of .130.

Richmond's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Telstar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Richmond has already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Carrabec on the 2nd. As for Telstar, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-1 win against Buckfield on the 1st.
