Burk Posts Huge Game in 28-6 Win
Starting off the list is Redwood's Jimmie Burk, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Burk rushed for 132 yards and four touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Monache, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Burk. Burk rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries the last time he and the Marauders duked it out back in October of 2023.

Golden West Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Case Anders
Golden West picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Case Anders. Nobody could stop Anders as he rushed for 84 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 78 receiving yards.
Golden West pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Anders and Golden West will venture away from home to square off against Redwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Alexander Carmona and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Alexander Carmona was instrumental in extending Golden West's winning streak to six on Friday. Carmona was unstoppable, picking up three sacks and making three total tackles.
For the season, Carmona has averaged 5.4 total tackles per game and for the season has 4 sacks.

Porterville had to settle for second on Friday, but Izaya Welsh sure wasn't going down easily. Welsh was dynamite, picking up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 64 yards.
For the year, Welsh has caught those 2 touchdowns while averaging 89 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 29.43 receiving yards per game.

Big Game from Shimer As Monache Fell 28-6
Rounding off our Top Five is D.J. Shimer of Monache. Shimer rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.
With the loss, Monache broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. Shimer and Monache will play host again on Friday to welcome Mt. Whitney, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:30 p.m.
