Canisius is 6-1 against Bishop Timon-St. Jude since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. It was another big night for Elijah Kimble, who rushed for 254 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards. Noah Harrison also helped out with an impressive 94 receiving yards.
Canisius' run defense was locked in: St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute could only muster 2.9 yards per carry. The team can thank Jaylen Hawkins for the heroic effort on defense: he. Canisius didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 13.7.
Meanwhile, Bishop Timon-St. Jude made easy work of Varsity Opponent two weeks ago and carried off a 33-10 win.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude's win came from a few key players Canisius will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Christian Fulgham, who picked up 112 receiving yards and three scores. Marquis Harris was another key player, throwing for 167 yards and four touchdowns.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Canisius, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Saturday's game might be decided in the trenches. Canisius has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 230 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Bishop Timon-St. Jude, though, as they've been averaging only 86 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
