The Seminole Seminoles will face off against the Robinson Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seminole is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Seminole came out on top against Clearwater Central Catholic on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run third inning. The Seminoles were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Marauders. The Seminoles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Seminole got a great performance from Scarlett Eames as she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Natalia Gipson was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most triples she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellory Farmer, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Seminole was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clearwater Central Catholic only posted a batting average of .190.
Meanwhile, Robinson didn't have quite enough to beat Sickles on Tuesday and fell 6-5. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Robinson also got a good showing from Julia Garden, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Garden has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kaylin Merritt and Dalia 'Mae' Campbell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Merritt went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double, while Campbell went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Samantha 'Sami' Rojas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple.
Seminole is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Robinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Seminole has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Robinson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
