Wheaton Academy won the last time they faced Crossroads Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. Wheaton Academy blew past Crossroads Christian 13-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Charlie Scherer looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).
At the plate, Gunnar Fitzpatrick was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson From, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Wheaton Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Looking ahead, Wheaton Academy will host Montini Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crossroads Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Parkview Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
