The Calallen Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Alice Coyotes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Calallen beat Harmony School of Excellence 57-49. The win made it back-to-back wins for Calallen.
Meanwhile, Alice came up short against Tuloso-Midway on Tuesday and fell 65-58.
Despite the defeat, Alice saw an underclassman step up: Dylan Rivera scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivera has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alejandro Asevedo, who scored 12 points.
Calallen now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Alice, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
Calallen took their win against Alice in their previous meeting on January 2nd by a conclusive 72-52. Will Calallen repeat their success, or does Alice have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
