Isaiah Deadman looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Davis McKenzie, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Landan Abellana, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Coffee County Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Cascade struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Coffee County Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Cascade in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
