The Ramsey Rams put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 45-40 win over River Dell. Given Ramsey's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while River Dell is ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
River Dell's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sean Golden, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The match was Golden's seventh in a row with at least ten points. David Nunez was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Ramsey pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for River Dell, they have fallen quite a ways from their 21-7 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Ramsey will head out on the road to face off against Pascack Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for River Dell, they will be playing at home against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westwood will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
