The Christ School Greenies can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 73-19 victory over Carolina Day on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Christ School has managed all season.
Christ School was led to victory by Zymicah Wilkins and Lleyton Thomas-Johnson. Wilkins scored 15 points along with five rebounds, while Thomas-Johnson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Bryson Cokley was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals and two blocks.
Christ School is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Carolina Day, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christ School will take on Asheville Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Asheville Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Christ School is ranked 15th). As for Carolina Day, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Durham Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th.
