The Holland Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Thorndale Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Holland has six straight wins, Thorndale has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Holland made easy work of Thrall and carried off a 41-21 win.
Among those leading the charge was Christian Ray Michalek, who punched in three rushing scores.
Meanwhile, Thorndale's 9-3 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 35-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Weimar on Friday.
Holland's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-0. They've been dominating across those contests too: they took their wins by an average of 22 points. As for Thorndale, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 0-7.
Holland couldn't quite finish off Thorndale in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 and fell 56-54. Thankfully for Holland, Coy Stutts (who threw for 351 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
