Volleyball Recap: Clearfield Has No Trouble Against Roy

Clearfield won the last time they faced Roy and things went their way on Tuesday too. Clearfield put the hurt on Roy with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Clearfield never let Roy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17, 25-20.

Gabe Christensen paced Clearfield's offense, picking up 11 kills. Christensen got some help from Steve Serious and his 26 assists. Sebastian Rodriguez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Clearfield's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. As for Roy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Clearfield is set to take on their familiar foe Bountiful at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Roy will challenge rival Woods Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
