The Fieldston Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Poly Prep Country Day Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Fieldston will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, Fieldston faced the Tigers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Fieldston ended up on the wrong side of a rough 53-30 walloping at the hands of the Tigers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fieldston has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Poly Prep Country Day had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 49-43 victory over St. Edmund Prep on Saturday. That looming 49-43 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Poly Prep Country Day yet this season.
Fieldston's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3. As for Poly Prep Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Fieldston strolled past the Blue Devils when the teams last played back in January by a score of 55-36. Will Fieldston repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
