The Bureau Valley Storm's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They came out on top against Warren by a score of 62-52.
Warren's loss came despite strong showings from Treyton Pafford and Bryce VanRaalte. Pafford scored 23 points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while VanRaalte scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Bureau Valley back to even at 10-10. As for Warren, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Bureau Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in Princeton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. As for Warren, Warren and Lena-Winslow will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lena-Winslow presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Warren in Illinois (Lena-Winslow is ranked 253rd, while Warren is ranked 598th).
