In what's become a running theme this season, the Loch Raven Raiders gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Woodlawn at home to the tune of 62-29. That 33 points margin sets a new team best for Loch Raven this season.
Loch Raven had a senior duo take command as Maya Gordon scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds and Destaney Harris scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Meona Boykin was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
Despite the defeat, Woodlawn saw an underclassman step up: Kaelyn House scored 14 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Marshall, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Woodlawn struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Loch Raven racked up 17 assists.
Loch Raven has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Woodlawn, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loch Raven will face off against Lansdowne at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lansdowne is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Woodlawn, they will head out on the road to take on Hereford at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hereford is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
