Meanwhile, Oxford had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Sovient Taylor looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on James Blackwood, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Oxford is undefeated when Blackwood posts two or more runs, but 9-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Sharpe Smith, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
