Verrado is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Canyon View is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Vipers will host the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Monday, Verrado made easy work of Desert Edge and carried off an 11-2 victory. The Vipers haven't had any issues with the Scorpions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Nolan Raissle and Lucas Spitzock made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Raissle tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Spitzock pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had over his last two contests. At bat, Raissle scored two runs while going 1-for-1, while Spitzock scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Eli Bebleh was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aaron Gutierrez, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
Verrado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Canyon View got the win against North Canyon on Friday by a conclusive 16-1.
Collin Padget looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brock Berlan, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricardo Yuriar, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Canyon View is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Verrado, their win bumped their record up to 14-5-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Verrado has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Canyon View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
