Troy won the last time they faced Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Cyclones 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Troy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Troy has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
