If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Broken Bow. They will take on Central at home at 7:30 PM on Friday. Broken Bow have bulldozed their previous five opponents, so Central might have their hands full.
Broken Bow might be getting used to good results now that the team have five wins in a row. They took the match and then some with a 53-0 victory last Friday over Stilwell. Followers of Broken Bow probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
Meanwhile, we expected Central to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Poteau, and they did. Central suffered a grim 6-35 defeat to Poteau. Central were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-28.
Broken Bow's win lifted them to 5-1 while Central's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll see if Broken Bow's success rolls on or if Central are able to steal their positive momentum.
