Life Center Academy took a 88-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of Varsity Opponent on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karma Payne, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Payne has scored all season. Kiyomi McMiller was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Life Center Academy were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Life Center Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Varsity Opponent, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 84-297-1.
