Mariemont moved up to 367 from 400 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Cincinnati Hills. The Warriors climbed the ranks as a result of topping Reading 53-0.
Madeira extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Taylor, 49-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Mustangs.
Mariemont's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Matt Stewart threw for 124 and two touchdowns and Nick Jones had 54 yards receiving. On the ground Jones chipped in 200 yards. David Cowart helped Mariemont's passing attack out by catching four balls for 49 yards.
Luke Parker made the biggest impact on defense this week as Tom Crosby's team topped the Blue Devils. The 5-foot-8 junior pulled down one interception.
Wyoming's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cowboys feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Will Marty has thrown for 1967 yards and 20 touchdowns this season, while Ben Kurtz has 51 catches for 911 yards. Terrell Dailey leads the league in rushing with 836 yards.
The top two teams in Cincinnati Hills will face off this week when first place Madeira takes on second place Wyoming. Madeira beat the Yellowjackets last week, while Wyoming topped Finneytown.
The Cowboys' Marty is within 33 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against the Mustangs.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Wyoming takes on Madeira. Aaron Hancock's team's offense has scored 322 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Mustangs have allowed only 128 on the year.
The Cowboys' Kurtz is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 89 receiving yards against Madeira to hit that benchmark.
