The Plantation Colonels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 58-18 defeat at the hands of Coconut Creek. Plantation lost against Coconut Creek in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 40-35 score last time.
Coconut Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tessan Parchment, who scored 21 points along with nine steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Devonique Thompson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Plantation bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Coconut Creek, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Plantation will head out on the road to face off against Stranahan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Coconut Creek, they will be playing at home against Pompano Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
