Softball Recap: Beaver Local Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Win

Beaver Local entered their tilt with Southern on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They beat the Indians by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 18-4. Considering the Beavers have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Beaver Local got a massive performance out of Brenna Jones, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Curtis, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Beaver Local kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in nine consecutive contests.

Beaver Local pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Southern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Beaver Local will head out to face off against Minerva at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southern, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Wellsville at 5:00 p.m.
