Two dominant  backs in  Josh Gagni and  William Rizqallah are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Live Oak Acorns will head out on the road to face off against the Christopher Cougars at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Live Oak comes in on eight and Christopher on nine.
 Last Thursday, Live Oak strolled past Oak Grove with  points to spare, taking the game  28-10. Given Live Oak's advantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 255th, while Oak Grove is ranked 700th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 The critical scores for Live Oak came from  Austin Jennings,  Gagni, and  Tanner Holeman.
 Meanwhile, Christopher can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Friday. They blew past Leland 42-0 on the road. 42 seems to be a good number for Christopher as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  points in their previous game.
 Live Oak's win was  their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. As for Christopher, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
 Live Oak couldn't quite finish off Christopher when the teams last played  back in November of 2022 and fell  21-19. Can Live Oak avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
