Wilton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Greenwich Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilton will be strutting in after a win while Greenwich will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Darien scored an imposing 69 points on Friday, Wilton still came out on top. Wilton slipped by Darien 70-69.
Meanwhile, Greenwich fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against St. Joseph on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 57-54. Greenwich just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
Wilton's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Greenwich, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5.
Wilton was able to grind out a solid win over Greenwich in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 62-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
