Bingham has gone a perfect 9-0 against Hunter recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Miners will look to defend their home field against the Wolverines at 3:30 p.m. Bingham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Bingham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Mountain Ridge, who was ranked fourth at the time (Bingham was ranked 16th). The Miners came out on top against the Sentinels by a score of 9-6 on Monday. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Sentinels recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Rian Howland, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Brooklynn Fogg was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hunter, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on American Fork with a sharp 10-2 win on Friday.
LEILA AIONO spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.
On the hitting side, KENYA LAPUAHO was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was ALEXA OLSEN, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Hunter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Hunter's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Bingham, their win bumped their record up to 15-7-3.
Hunter's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Bingham has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Hunter, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 strikeouts. Will Bingham keep running through batters, or will the Wolverines buck the trend?
Bingham took their victory against Hunter in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
