Faith Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Cristo Rey Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian will be strutting in after a win while Cristo Rey will be coming in after a defeat.
Faith Christian posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Buckingham Charter 49-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Faith Christian has posted against Buckingham Charter since January 5, 2019.
Faith Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cedric Smith out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Oakley, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Cristo Rey, who are still winless after their eighth game. They had to suffer through a rough 74-9 loss at the hands of Valley Christian. Cristo Rey has struggled against Valley Christian recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Faith Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-10 record this season. As for Cristo Rey, they bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Faith Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Cristo Rey in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 42-35. Does Faith Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cristo Rey turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
