Basketball Recap: First Baptist Takes a Loss

First Baptist's tournament run continued when they took on Indiana Christian Academy on Wednesday. First Baptist were outmatched by the Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds and fell 68-38. While losing is never fun, First Baptist can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 991st in California, while Indiana Christian Academy is ranked 95th in Indiana).

Indiana Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seth Plew, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Porter Plew, who earned 11 points.

First Baptist has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Indiana Christian Academy, the victory was the 22nd in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-1.

First Baptist didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-25 defeat against Indiana Christian Academy on the 6th. As for Indiana Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-26 win against Varsity Opponent on the 6th.
