Basketball Recap: Make It 13 in a Row for Good Samaritan Homeschool

Good Samaritan HomeSchool put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 61-52 win over the Harmony Science Academy Tigers. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Hornets were down 31-16 in the second quarter.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dominic Fogo led the charge by going 9 for 16 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Fogo has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of George Fogo, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 15 points and five steals.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27 points. As for Harmony Science Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Good Samaritan HomeSchool will venture away from home to challenge Community Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Harmony Science Academy, they will host Colmesneil at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmony Science Academy is facing Colmesneil at the right time seeing as Colmesneil is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
