Baseball Recap: Dysart Wins Going Away Against Moon Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yuma, Dysart was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Moon Valley Rockets with a sharp 12-2 win. Considering the Demons' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Eduardo Carranza was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was John Amparan, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Dysart always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Dysart moved to 6-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Moon Valley, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Dysart will square off against Coronado at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Demons are facing the Dons at the right time seeing as the Dons are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Moon Valley, they will challenge Agua Fria at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Owls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.44 runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
