While East Rowan's win against South Rowan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Raiders 5-3. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Harrison Ailshie was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 14 consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base.

Ailshie wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mason Phelps, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

East Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for South Rowan, they dropped their record down to 11-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Rowan will host Lake Norman Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Rowan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
