It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the NYOS Charter Jaguars can now relate to. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 57-36 walloping at the hands of Victoria Cobra HomeSchool on Friday. NYOS Charter has not had much luck with Victoria Cobra HomeSchool recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why NYOS Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lucas Harman. Despite the final result, he rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Mark Amichia also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Even if they lost, NYOS Charter's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Fidel Fuentes was the leader with two sacks.
Israel Sauceda was on fire for Victoria Cobra HomeSchool: he rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 40 yards and a touchdown on only three passes. Phoenix Robertson also helped out as he racked up 137 rushing yards.
NYOS Charter's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Victoria Cobra HomeSchool, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
NYOS Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Victoria Cobra HomeSchool is on the road again on November 25th and play against East Texas Homeschool Sports. One thing working in East Texas Homeschool Sports' favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
