Bishop Shanahan is 1-9 against Henderson since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bishop Shanahan lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Downingtown East, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Eagles put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 9-2 win on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Cole Simmons spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Bishop Shanahan is 5-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brett Barber, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Griff Ceribelli, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bishop Shanahan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Henderson came out on top against Coatesville on Friday by a score of 5-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Henderson also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Anthony Barthol gave up only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. Barthol has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Henderson's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cole Ryan, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Henderson has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Shanahan, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Bishop Shanahan skirted past Henderson 4-3 when the teams last played back in April. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
