Kennebunk waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the South Portland Red Riots  a   12-0 shutout. Considering the Rams have won six contests by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Juliann Pike made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Talia Kellum, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.  Emma Orendorf was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Kennebunk  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in six consecutive  matches.
Kennebunk's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 9-2. As for South Portland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
