The win snapped Iowa's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-12 record. As for LaGrange, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Iowa beat the Gators by a score of 16-0 later that day.
