Basketball Recap: Hill Freedman World Academy Picks Up 11th Consecutive Win

Hill Freedman World Academy extended their winning streak to 11 games thanks to a huge performance from Dahkenah Wilkins. Hill Freedman World Academy strolled past the George Washington Eagles with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 59-44 thanks in part to Wilkins, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten assists. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Amaad Lyles, who posted eight points and seven steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, George Washington still got an impressive performance from Anderson Dorvil, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 rebounds. Dorvil is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games he's played. Jamair McQueen was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Hill Freedman World Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for George Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Hill Freedman World Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-41 loss against Martin Luther King on the 21st. As for George Washington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-42 victory against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber on the 21st.
