The Heritage Christian Academy Lions's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against Lakewood Presbyterian by a score of 42-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Heritage Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played last Monday.
Heritage Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sara Spangler led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Spangler hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Addison Klock, who scored 12 points.
The victory got Heritage Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Heritage Christian Academy will square off against Temple Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakewood Presbyterian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence Academy at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th.
