Spotswood had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Northside Vikings get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Trailblazers have won 11 contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Spotswood got a great performance from Carter Lenz as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Lenz has posted since back in April.
At the plate, Andrew O'Brian was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Porter Carver also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Spotswood is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Northside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-9.
