The Jordan Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Hawkins Hawks with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Jordan took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 44-16 victory over Hawkins. Considering Jordan has won four matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for David Sandy, who rushed for 325 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. Sandy hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was De'Marrion Morris-Brown, who picked up 29 receiving yards.
Although Hawkins took the loss, they still got scores from Robert Stewart and Demeiko Crawford.
Jordan's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 View Park and 2-8 Fremont (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 25.2% over those games). As for Hawkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Jordan will be playing at home against Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hawkins, they will head out on the road to face off against George Washington Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
