Golden had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They walked away with  a   50-39  win over the Dakota Ridge Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Demons also won the last time the pair played  back in February of 2024.
Leading Golden to victory were  Kempley Wellman and  Ashlyn Bates.  Wellman  posted 11 points and six  boards, while  Bates  scored nine  points. That's the most  rebounds  Wellman has posted since back in December of 2024.
 Golden was working as a unit and  finished the game with 11  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dakota Ridge only posted two  assists.
 Despite the  defeat, Dakota Ridge saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Emery Bowman  dropped  a double-double with ten  boards and ten  steals. Bowman is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as she's  now  grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kate Barbic, who  earned six  points and four  steals.
Golden's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Dakota Ridge,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 8-13.
 Looking ahead, Golden will take on Standley Lake at 6:00  p.m.  on February 19th. Golden's defense has only allowed 28.7  points per game  this season, so Standley Lake's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Dakota Ridge, they will face off against Littleton at 6:30  p.m.  on February 19th.
