Christian McCaffrey of Valor Christian ran for the longest rushing play in Freelance this season against Fountain-Fort Carson last week. McCaffrey ran for 97 yards on the play and finished with 217 on the day as his team defeated the Trojans.
Valor Christian took down Fountain-Fort Carson 40-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. McCaffrey caught five passes for 35 yards in the win.
Brent Vieselmeyer's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Luke Del Rio threw for 157 and one touchdown and Chaz Polson had 93 yards receiving.
Valor Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Del Rio has thrown for 792 yards and five touchdowns this season, while McCaffrey has 25 catches for 237 yards. McCaffrey leads the league in rushing with 492 yards.
The Eagles made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 486 from 826. The improvement was the result of 40-0 victory over Mitch Johnson's team last week.
