This season hasn't been kind to the San Miguel Vipers, who are still winless after their ninth game. They took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tombstone on Saturday. San Miguel has not had much luck with Tombstone recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Tombstone's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Malachi Keller led the charge by scoring 29 points. The game was Keller's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sasha Webster, who scored 18 points.
San Miguel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Tombstone, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
San Miguel will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Safford at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Tombstone and St. David will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. David is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
