The Horizon Honors Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Zach Hull was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).
Hull wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Max Miller, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Bourgade Catholic had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against North Valley Christian Academy by a score of 5-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Golden Eagles as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season.
AJ Diaz spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.
On the hitting side, Alexander Guzak was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tyson Trujilo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Everything went Horizon Honors' way against Bourgade Catholic in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, as Horizon Honors made off with a 23-2 victory.
