Bulkeley is 1-6 against Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Academy of Science and Innovation on Monday, sneaking past 22-21.
Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy got a massive performance out of Eimy Rodriguez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sumalee Chanbunna, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.
Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Bulkeley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bulkeley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .541. However, it's not like Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .598. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
