Ottawa won against Rochelle on Wednesday with six goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. The Pirates put the hurt on the Wilmington Wildcats with a sharp 6-1 win. Considering Ottawa have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Wilmington with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ayla Covalsky (2), Taylor Brandt (2), and Chloe Carmona (2).

Ottawa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four games. As for Wilmington, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Ottawa didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Plano on the 13th. As for Wilmington, they will face off against Bishop McNamara at 3:00 p.m. on the 17th.
