The Rancho Christian Eagles will face off against the Perris Panthers at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rancho Christian has seven straight wins, Perris has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Rancho Christian barely beat Heritage the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 10-3 victory on Wednesday. Brooklyn Bateman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophia Rezkalah, who fired off three home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Sheyla Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Rancho Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Perris came up short against Vista del Lago on Wednesday, falling 11-1.
