The Collins Hill Eagles lost against the Central Gwinnett Black Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Collins Hill took a 47-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central Gwinnett. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Collins Hill has scored all season.
Collins Hill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Paris Fillingame, who scored 12 points along with two steals. That was a full 34.3% of Collins Hill's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Imari Brewer, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Collins Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Central Gwinnett, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collins Hill will take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Central Gwinnett, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Buford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Buford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Central Gwinnett likes a good challenge.
