Mathis lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kailey Garcia, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Adames, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Aransas Pass' victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Mathis, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-21.
