Evergreen - Clements recap October 22, 2013
Proctor Academy extended the longest winning streak in Evergreen - Clements this week by beating Tilton School, 42-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
New Hampton School and Pingree played the closest game in the league this week, with New Hampton School eventually emerging with a 54-48 victory. Matthew Dean ran for 202 yards during the win.
The Huskies' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Adam Enxing threw for 80 and 1 touchdown and Auden Menke had 69 yards receiving. On the ground Dean chipped in 202 yards.
Carter Dillon was a key player and the best on defense this week as New Hampton School topped the Highlanders. The 6-foot-1 junior recorded 1 fumble.
Dean was a passing and rushing force as Ed Kiley's team bested Pingree. Dean's favorite target this week was Menke, who caught 3 passes for 69 yards.
Menke was the best receiver in the league this week as the Huskies defeated Chris Powers' team.
New Hampton School's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Enxing has thrown for 672 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Menke has 11 catches for 222 yards.
A big matchup in Evergreen - Clements this week will be when Proctor Academy takes on the Highlanders. Ben Rulli's team is currently in second, while Pingree is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Hornets take on the Highlanders. Proctor Academy has allowed 84 points this season, while Pingree has given up 122. The Hornets allowed 7 points last week as they topped the Rams.
