The Hickory Christian Academy Knights can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They breezed by University Christian on the road to the tune of 74-41. The victory was just what Hickory Christian Academy needed coming off of a 73-48 loss in their prior game.
Hickory Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaleb Massey led the charge by scoring 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Massey has scored all season. Jamaryon Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight assists and seven steals.
Despite the loss, University Christian still got an impressive performance from Reece Morin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Morin hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Haan, who scored eight points.
The victory got Hickory Christian Academy back to even at 8-8. As for University Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Statesville Christian the next time they take the court. University Christian will host Statesville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Hickory Christian Academy will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
